This is a photograph of both the Seabrook and Kemah Waterfronts taken in 1996 before the development of the Kemah Boardwalk by the Landry´s Corporation. This photograph is also printed in black and white.
The red roof restaurant was the Brass Parrot, and the large building in the foreground was the Kemah Cantina. They have since been replaced by the Cadillac Bar and the Aquarium Restaurant owned by the Landry´s Corporation. A clear blue day on the water in 1996. The sailboat racers were coming in for a GBCA (Galveston Bay Cruising Association) race with their colorful spinnakers flying as they begin to proceed through the Clear Creek Channel.
