A large gecko statue meets you at the entrance to Parc Guell in Barcelona, Spain. The design was repeated by Gaudi in his tile work throughout the park.
Parc Guell is Gaudi´s creative attempt to designing a garden-like suburb to the city of Barcelona, Spain in the early 20th century. The paths leading into the development are lined with foliage and walls with tile creation insets. A large winding bench-like wall is covered with a menagerie of tile collage designs. The ceiling of the pavilion is decorated with round tile creations. There are endless possibilities of capturing tile collages. The challenge was to give them justice with the composition that I chose.
